As part of Social Activity and student’s involvement and to create the feeling of Social Responsibility, the students of Cygmax Institute of Management Studies, Hyderabad visited the “Navjeevan” Orphanage Home at Padma Rao Nagar, Hyderabad. This visit was planned by the Management Students under the supervision of Mr. Satish Kumar Dwivedi (HRM Faculty) and accompanied by other CIMS, Hyderabad staff members, Mr. Rajesh and Mr. Krishna. This orphanage home is the shelter provided for the street and abandoned girl Children. These children do not have their parents and guardians and as a result of this they are saved by this home from being exploited and being physically abused. The age group of the children here is from 2 years to 14 years. These children are being maintained and are provided with the parental care by staff members of “Navjeevan” and their friends.
“Navjeevan” is doing a great job for the society as they are not only providing them food and shelter but also educating them. These children go to School as normal children and maintaining the same standard of living as other students in the school to avoid any kind of inferiority Complex in the tender minds of the children. The management of the day to day living / studies / games / food habits of the students here is appreciable as they maintain good standards in their routine activities and performance in the school. There are some children who are very keen and interested in the studies.
CIMS Students have learnt a lot from this association with “Navjeevan” and probably the CIMS (Cygmax Institute of Management Studies) might not have been able to teach this aspect of charity to its Management Students through class room training. The students were given a lot of ambience to analyze the society in which we all are living and to feel that how responsible we are to the people of this society. This experience has made a great impact in the minds of the students and also staff members of the CIMS Hyderabad. It gave the feeling of the responsibility as a father as a mother and as member of this Society.
